Рецепт чернил из шкуры черного ореха вроде http://www.florilegium.org/?http%3A//ww ... k-art.html Цитата: My recipe for Black Walnut Ink:
35 black walnuts, picked up from the yard in September. (used gloves!) Place walnuts in bucket and cover with tap water. Soak for approx. 3 months or until water is murky black. Strain walnuts out, place walnuts in large metal pot. Add 19 1/2 cups of the murky water. Boil for 30 minutes, strain out walnuts. Continue boiling uncovered for 1 1/2 hrs more. Turn off heat. Add 1 tsp. kosher salt, 1 tsp white vinegar, 1 tsp Gum Arabic. Stir to mix thoroughly. Let ink cool. Filter ink through cheesecloth into jars. (use gloves…very messy and will stain!). Ink is now ready to use as calligraphy ink. |

Inkwell Unique ID: WILT-270275 Object type certainty: A resized image of late medieval inkwell View | Zoom | Download Lead inkwell, probably late medieval. Almost complete, with a little of the neck broken, one bottom corner badly damaged and part of the body caved in towards the base. It is 61mm in height with a 29 x 15mm base. The body narrows towards the neck, measuring 24 x 14mm at the base of the neck. The neck is 7mm tall with an internal diameter of 9mm and an external diameter of 14mm. The object is very worn and the measurements are accurate only to within 1-2mm because the edges have lost their sharpness and are now rounded. At the centre of the base, on the outside of the object and visible as a tiny spike on the inside (through the caved-in hole), is an iron rivet (iron staining surrounds it on the outside). All breaks are ancient.See Saunders 2001, fig. 34, no.83 for a similar example that has side lugs. Also compare with PAS find WILT-276366, a less sturdy example than this one. Subsequent actions Subsequent action after recording: Returned to finder Chronology Broad period: MEDIEVAL Period from: MEDIEVAL Date from: AD 1301 Date to: AD 1500 Dimensions and weight Length: 61 mm Width: 29 mm Thickness: 15 mm Quantity: 1 Materials and construction Primary material: Lead Completeness: Incomplete http://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/57869 |
